As I said yesterday, surrender is not an option for the Kings. The team now gets ready for it's 5 remaining games of the 2009-2010 season.
The Kings are to battle at home with Texas, Friday, the Mudbugs on Saturday and then the Mudbugs again on Tuesday of next week at Bossier-Shreveport. Tulsa will be here the 19th and 20th.
The Kings have a record of 29- 23- 7 for 65 points. The best they can get is fourth in the Northern Conference. The Mavericks are two points behind the Kings for the final playoff spot. They have a record of 29- 25- 5 for 63 points. The Oilers are sixth with a record of 28- 25- 6 for 62 points. Tulsa beat Amarillo 4-3 Wednesday. Is this race tight or what?
We have to get points out of the five remaining games. The season is on the line. The last two games, we played well. If we just clean up a few things: 1) We have to score on the powerplay. 2) We have to keep getting garbage goals(someone in front of the net. 3) Play the cycle. 4)Forecheck. I know we have the capability, but from now on, everyone and I mean everyone has to be on the same page.
I know there's certainly some frustration. Goaltending has not been up to par. Wipe that out now. McNulty will be there for us. The biggest thing now is, get in playoff mode. It starts early for us, but it does start on Friday and for the next five games. We can not afford to give any points away, if indeed we want to make it to the post season.
I know we can get the job done.
I'm Joe Sports and that's the way I see it.

Crosby’s Items Are Found, Solving Canadian Mystery
Sidney Crosby's missing stick and glove have been found. Hockey Canada says the missing Olympic gear was misplaced rather than stolen, with both items ending up in the wrong place in the process of packing and shipping equipment after the Olympics. I wish, that was all I had to WORRY ABOUT, my glove and stick.
Tiger and Elin, sitting in a tree ... k-i-s-s-i-n-g.
It's the first time Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have shown affection towards each other in public since word got out last fall that Woods had multiple affairs. Has the divorce been called off.
Golf without Tiger Woods is like soda pop without the fizz. He is to the PGA Tour what champagne is to New Year’s Eve. One without the other just comes up flat. Good thing, then, that the world’s No. 1 draw appears on the cusp of the greatest comeback in his life.
Not only are there signs Woods is returning to the game, it appears he has also saved his marriage, his family life and a fortune estimated at more than $600 million. Things are looking up — and not just when he hangs up his pants at night. Golf legend Jack Nicklaus said earlier this month he expected Woods to return before the April 8 Masters. Jack would know, right?
It’s a topic that will continue to come up with every concussion and each hit to the head. On Sunday, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke laid out Marc Savard with a blindside hit that knocked out the Boston Bruins centre and forced him to leave the game on a stretcher. Matt Cooke should be gone for a year. That was intentional.
Have a look.

But somehow today, with Matt Cooke getting nothing, with Savard maybe out for the season, it doesn’t feel right. Matt Cooke knew exactly what he was doing.I can’t believe they’re doing nothing about it.The poor, tortured NHL can’t seem to ever get it right.
The nearly year-long legal battle between the National Hockey League and former Phoenix Coyotes owner Jerry Moyes isn't over yet. The NHL filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Moyes and his family on Friday, alleging that the trucking magnate violated a number of league agreements when he put the franchise in bankruptcy last year and then attempted to sell it to Canadian businessman Jim Balsillie.
The bankruptcy filing caught the NHL by surprise and sparked months of bitter legal manoeuvring that appeared to have ended in November, with Balsillie rejected as an owner and the league in control of the team. Don't take care of head shots, but go get a lawsuit against Moyes and his family.
NHL GMs are meeting in Florida this week, and the issue of head shots is at the top of their agenda. Haven't we heard this before?
Striptease star Demi Moore turned heads at a recent Hollywood party, when she gave daughter Rumer Willis a pole dancing lesson. The actress was partying at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles with her husband Ashton Kutcher and her 21-year-old daughter, when Moore spotted a pole and began showing off the tricks she learned in the 1996 film. What's the saying, like mother like daughter.
Here are some Australian daytime TV hosts demonstrating why this Wii Olympics game should never be played in anything resembling a public arena.

This elderly couple, who have apparently been married for 62 years, happen upon a piano and demonstrate a few of the ways they've managed to stay together for so long. This will put a smile on your face.

Against all odds, this 69-year-old lady has become something of a hit in the Paris club scene. Must be the glasses.

Someone had the foresight to point a camera and microphone outside in Vancouver as Canada and the United States were waging war for Olympic hockey supremacy. It's pretty incredible to hear the roar that enveloped the entire city after Sidney Crosby scored his goal for the ages.

I never liked David Letterman, but I give him credit for doing this. While Jay Leno was shoving more $100 bills into his furnace and polishing his airport hangar full of cars, Dave was watching the Olympic Gold Medal hockey game, and unbelievably cheering for Canada, despite of his American passport.

"Something Went Wrong in Jet Crash, Expert Says "
No crap, really? Ya think?
Once upon a time, a guy asked a beautiful girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.. The end
Have a great day. I'm Joe Sports.
